Study Abroad Program
Truman State University

Democracy and Human Rights
in Capetown, South Africa
May 14 – June 5, 2009

6 credit hours

The purpose of this study abroad program is to give students an opportunity to live and work in one of most beautiful cities in the world while studying the multiple concerns facing South Africa, as it strives to become one of the world’s most progressive democracies. The heart of the program will be a service learning opportunity that will immerse students in the living history of South Africa by directly involving them with institutions that are wrestling with South Africa’ troubled past and helping create a modern, democratic civil society.

All majors and levels are welcome!
